What would you do with 300 hours a year?

Leadership coordination is invisible work. Once it is counted, the number is usually larger than anyone expected.

Ask any owner how much time goes to coordination, and the answer is “not much”. Then ask how many times today someone came to ask something that should have been found elsewhere. The gap between those two answers is the time this article is about.

Three questions about your week

How many hours a week do you answer questions whose answer already exists somewhere? How many hours do you check that something was done? How many hours do you explain the same thing again?

Add them up. If the total is ten hours a week and the machine takes half of it, more than 200 hours come back in a year. That is five weeks of work – the work only you can do.

The value is not the hour but where it goes

The calculator has a field called “your hour is worth”. It is not your salary but what an hour earns when it goes to decisions, clients and growth. Multiply that by the hours that come back, and you see the price of the current way continuing.
