Stops and send-backs: work no longer moves out of order
The most expensive mistake is not carelessness but the wrong order: the invoice before the approval, the launch before the check. In the machine, the order is built in.

A checklist tells you what to do. It does not stop things from being done in the wrong order. That is why a client sometimes gets a report nobody had time to look at, or a launch goes out before the links were tested.
A stop turns the order into a rule
When a task gets a stop, the steps after it open only once it is checked off. The waiting step says what it is waiting for and where – and nobody has to remember the rule.
A send-back goes straight to the maker
In an approval task the approver either approves or sends the work back with a note. The send-back reopens the previous step for fixing, and the note shows to the maker both in their queue and on the task itself. No thread, no meeting – and every decision stays visible with a name and a time.
The calculator shows what the current patchwork – and the rework that comes with it – costs.
